| Future Focus | 1 | Unit and target ally swap spaces. Grants 【Future Witness】and【Null Follow-Up】to allies within 2 spaces of both unit and target after movement for 1 turn (including unit and target), grants Special cooldown-1 to unit and those allies, and grants another action to unit (once per turn). | Unit and target ally swap spaces. Grants 【Future Witness】and【Null Follow-Up】to allies within 2 spaces of both unit and target after movement for 1 turn (including unit and target), grants Special cooldown-1 to unit and those allies, and grants another action to unit (once per turn). 【Future Witness】 Enables【Canto (2)】. Grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 7 during combat ("first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes), and also, if unit initiates combat and foe's attack can trigger foe's Special, inflicts Special cooldown count+1 on foe before foe's first attack during combat (cannot exceed the foe's maximum Special cooldown). 【Null Follow-Up】 If unit's Spd > foe's Spd during combat, neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks for 1 turn. 【Canto (2)】 After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move 2 space(s). (Unit moves according to movement type. Once per turn. Cannot attack or assist. Only highest value applied. Does not stack. After moving, if a skill that grants another action would be triggered (like with Galeforce), Canto will trigger after the granted action. Unit's base movement has no effect on movement granted. Cannot warp (using skills like Wings of Mercy) a distance greater than unit would be able to move with normal Canto movement.) |

Notes
- Has the same effect as Swap.
- Movement occurs only if both the unit and the target can enter the target spaces normally.
- Future Focus applies the Future Witness status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 effect on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Future Witness is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- If an effect that grants "another action" to unit would trigger, (such as with Galeforce) the extra action will be granted before 【Canto (2)】 triggers (excluding effects that grant "another action" after Canto).
- 【Canto (2)】 will not trigger after an effect that grants "another action" if it has already been triggered that turn or if the unit does not perform an action.
- 【Canto (2)】 triggers after "after combat" movement effects such as Repel 4, Harrowing Call, or Movement Passives.
- If 【Canto (2)】 has already been triggered that turn, Canto re-enabling effects can allow 【Canto (2)】 to trigger again.
- If an ally has an effect such as Demonic Tome, Salvage, or Summer Chilling; the unit can also warp to the ally after triggering Canto regardless of distance restrictions.
- Canto Control will reduce the amount of movement granted by 【Canto (2)】 to 1 space (or 2 spaces with Salvage) for Range = 1 units and 0 spaces (or 1 space with Salvage) for Range = 2 units.
- 【Canto (2)】 takes into account the unit's Move Type and the movement restrictions involved with it. For Example, a Cavalry unit cannot use 【Canto (2)】 to enter or cross through a forest.
- 【Canto (2)】 also takes into account effects that alter a unit's normal movement such as movement preventing effects, Divine Vein effects, Pass effects, True Charge, Traverse Terrain, and 【Pathfinder】.
- 【Canto (2)】 also takes into account warping effects such as Guidance 4 and Air Orders. However, the distance is limited to the maximum amount of spaces allotted by 【Canto (2)】.
- The movement granted by 【Canto (2)】 is unaffected by status effects that alter a unit's movement value such as Mobility increased, Gallop, Stall, and Gravity.
- The Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 that can be applied during combat by Future Witness is considered a temporary buff.
- The flat damage-reduction effect is a flat -7 damage that is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as Arcane Thorn and Change of Fate, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Archrival and Dodge.
- If a an effect such as Miracle or Roy: Of Binding's boosted Special effect can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe uses attack damage preventing effects, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- Flat damage-reduction effects stack additively, similar to damage boosting effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Flat damage-reduction effects cannot be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- Future Witness's Special cooldown count increase that occurs during combat is a flat +1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Guard, Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Tempo Echo.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- For example, if a unit has Preempt Pulse and Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- Future Focus applies the Null Follow-Up status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 effect on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Null Follow-Up is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- Null Follow-Up will not neutralize the additional follow-up of Potent Follow effects.
- Follow-up effects that are neutralized by Null Follow-Up:
- Effects that grant the foe a guaranteed follow-up such as Quick Riposte 4, Guaranteed follow-ups during combat, or the Grand Conquests Cavalry area effect.
- Effects active on the unit that prevent their follow-up attacks, such as Windsweep 3, Watersweep 3, or Weaving Fighter.
- Effects active on the foe that prevent the unit's follow-up attacks such as Steady Impact, Vengeful Fighter 4, or Foe Cannot Follow-Up.
