Notes

• The  Penalties,  Bonus, and  Pathfinder is triggered regardless of whether Def/Res Smoke's user performs an attack during combat. If foe initiates combat and user cannot counterattack, Def/Res Smoke's  Penalties,  Bonus, and  Pathfinder will still trigger.
• Def/Res Smoke's user needs to survive the combat for the  Penalties,  Bonus, and  Pathfinder to trigger.
• The stat decrease that can be applied by Def/Res Smoke is considered a  Penalty.
  • Any 【Penalty】 effect on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have  Penalties for their first action.
    • If the unit also has  Grand Strategy, any  Penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
• The stat increase that can be applied by Def/Res Smoke is considered a  Bonus.
  • Any 【Bonus】 effect on a unit, including  Bonuses, lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If  Bonuses are acquired during the enemy phase, they will disappear when the next player phase begins.

• Def/Res Smoke applies the  Pathfinder status effect.
  • Any 【Bonus】 effect on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If  Pathfinder is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
  •  Pathfinder takes into account the ally's Move Type and the movement restrictions involved with it. For Example, a  Cavalry ally cannot use  Pathfinder cross through a forest.
    • A unit with  Pathfinder will allow allies to pass through terrain that slows their movement such as forests, trenches, or spaces affected by  【Divine Vein (Flame)】 or  【Divine Vein (Water)】.
    •  Pathfinder only affects normal and non-warping Canto movement. Warp movement is unaffected.
    •  Pathfinder also takes into account effects that alter a unit's movement such as Pass effects, warp preventing effects, movement preventing effects,  Traverse Terrain,  True Charge, and non-warping Canto effects.
    •  Pathfinder's free space effect will be negated if the unit is affected by  Schism.
      • If  Schism is removed by sources of 【Penalty】 effect neutralization such as  Odd Recovery 3,  Pathfinder is also neutralized.
