Notes
- Exuberant Boost has the same effect as Null Follow-Up 3.
- Attacks that "calculate damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res" include attacks during combat and area-of-effect Specials.
- Effects such as Hexblade can be disabled by effects such as Physical Twin Save or Magic Twin Save.
- Sources of effects that disable "calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res" only during combat:
- The stat boost that can be applied during combat by Exuberant Boost is considered a temporary buff.
- The damage boosting effect is a flat +7/+X (max: 18) damage that ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage reduction effects such as Archrival, A/S Rival Break, and Dodge.
- Damage boosting effects stack additively, similar to flat damage-reduction effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- A foe equipped with Invincibility Seals will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- A foe using attack damage preventing effects can neutralize damage dealt from the foe's own attacks and the unit's attacks (Units with Umbra Burst weapons will take and deal the minimum 1 damage).
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The flat damage-reduction effect is a flat -7 damage that is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as Arcane Thorn and Change of Fate, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Archrival and Dodge.
- If a an effect such as Miracle or Roy: Of Binding's boosted Special effect can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe uses attack damage preventing effects, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- Flat damage-reduction effects stack additively, similar to damage boosting effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Flat damage-reduction effects cannot be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Exuberant Boost's Special cooldown count reduction that occurs during combat is a flat -1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Guard, Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Tempo Echo.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- For example, if a unit has Preempt Pulse and Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- The temporary buffs, damage boost, damage reduction and -1 special cooldown count effects of Exuberant Boost will not apply to the user's allies if the user is inflicted with Time's Grip, the user's allies are inflicted with Feud, or the user's allies are in combat against a foe with skills such as Impenetrable Void and C Feud 3.
- Exuberant Boost will not neutralize the additional follow-up of Potent Follow effects.
- Follow-up effects that are neutralized by Exuberant Boost:
- Effects that grant the foe a guaranteed follow-up such as Quick Riposte 4, Guaranteed follow-ups during combat, or the Grand Conquests Cavalry area effect.
- Effects active on the unit that prevent their follow-up attacks, such as Windsweep 3, Watersweep 3, or Weaving Fighter.
- Effects active on the foe that prevent the unit's follow-up attacks such as Steady Impact, Vengeful Fighter 4, or Foe Cannot Follow-Up.
- The unit with Exuberant Boost only survives a single attack, so a second attack will still be lethal. If unit is at exactly at 1 HP and is hit with a lethal attack, Exuberant Boost will not trigger.
- Exuberant Boost stacks with other "unit survives with 1 HP" effects.
- Non-Special "unit survives with 1 HP" effects have priority over Special effects such as Miracle or Roy: Of Binding's boosted Special effect, however most of them only trigger once per combat.
- The Special cooldown count of Specials such as Miracle or Invincible Sister are unaffected by non-Special "unit survives with 1 HP" effects.
- Exuberant Boost only stacks with Special "unit survives with 1 HP" effects such as Miracle or Roy: Of Binding's boosted Special effect.
- Non-Special "unit survives with 1 HP" effects can be neutralized by effects such as Neutralizes non-Special "unit survives with 1 HP" effects or Budding Staff.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Exuberant Boost stacks with other "unit survives with 1 HP" effects.
