Notes
- If an effect that grants "another action" to unit would trigger, (such as with Galeforce) the extra action will be granted before 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 triggers (excluding effects that grant "another action" after Canto).
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 will not trigger after an effect that grants "another action" if it has already been triggered that turn or if the unit does not perform an action.
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 triggers after "after combat" movement effects such as Repel 4, Harrowing Call, or Movement Passives.
- If 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 has already been triggered that turn, Canto re-enabling effects can allow 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 to trigger again.
- If an ally has an effect such as Demonic Tome, Salvage, or Summer Chilling; the unit can also warp to the ally after triggering Canto regardless of distance restrictions.
- Canto Control will reduce the amount of movement granted by 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 to 1 space (or 2 spaces with Salvage) for Range = 1 units and 0 spaces (or 1 space with Salvage) for Range = 2 units.
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 takes into account the unit's Move Type and the movement restrictions involved with it. For Example, a Cavalry unit cannot use 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 to enter or cross through a forest.
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 also takes into account effects that alter a unit's normal movement such as movement preventing effects, Divine Vein effects, Pass effects, True Charge, Traverse Terrain, and 【Pathfinder】.
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 also takes into account warping effects such as Guidance 4 and Air Orders. However, the distance is limited to the maximum amount of spaces allotted by 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】.
- The calculation of "spaces from start position to end position" counts the total number of spaces from the initiator's starting position to the end position before combat.
- The calculation includes spaces occupied by an ally with the 【Pathfinder】 effect.
- The start position used in the calculation references the initiator's starting position after being moved by sources of unit movement such as Reposition Gait.
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 also takes into account status effects that alter a unit's movement value such as Mobility increased, Gallop, Stall, and Gravity.
- 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 will have the distance value be reduced to 1 if the unit was inflicted with Stall or Gravity and did not warp or move through a space occupied by a unit with 【Pathfinder】.
- The distance value for 【Canto (Dist. +1; Max 4)】 will not be affected if the unit was inflicted with Stall or Gravity after combat.
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- Both Proper Knight and other effects that grant another action to the user can trigger on the same turn.[1]
- The unit's Special cooldown count is unaffected if the additional action effect of Proper Knight triggers.
- Edelgard: Of Rivals's boosted Special effect neutralizes effects that grant unit another action to the unit after combat and additional effects that are triggered at those times.
- This does not apply to Specials that grant unit another action when triggered such as Galeforce Mist or Njörun's Zeal II, effects that grant unit another action after using an Assist such as Dragon's Twirl or Teapot+, Duo/ Harmonized Skills that grant unit another action, Share Spoils, or Share Spoils+.
- The order of extra actions granted by effects that grant another action to the user is as follows:
- The extra action effects of a 【Style】 such as Freeze 【Style】 or Berserk 【Style】
- The extra action effects of Share Spoils or Share Spoils+
- Extra action effects with priority such as Future and Past or Time and Light
- Non-Special extra action effects such as Matchless Wolf or Override
- Extra action Specials such as Galeforce Mist or Njörun's Zeal II
- Extra action effects that trigger after Canto such as Vengeful Storm or The Cycle's Turn
- The stat boost that can be applied during combat by Proper Knight is considered a temporary buff.
- The damage boosting effect is a flat +X (max: 12) damage that ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage reduction effects such as Archrival, A/S Rival Break, and Dodge.
- Damage boosting effects stack additively, similar to flat damage-reduction effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- A foe equipped with Invincibility Seals will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- A foe using attack damage preventing effects can neutralize damage dealt from the foe's own attacks and the unit's attacks (Units with Umbra Burst weapons will take and deal the minimum 1 damage).
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The flat damage-reduction effect is a flat -X (max: 12) damage that is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as Arcane Thorn and Change of Fate, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Archrival and Dodge.
- If a an effect such as Miracle or Roy: Of Binding's boosted Special effect can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe uses attack damage preventing effects, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- Flat damage-reduction effects stack additively, similar to damage boosting effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Flat damage-reduction effects cannot be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Proper Knight's Special cooldown count reduction that occurs during combat is a flat -1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Guard, Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Tempo Echo.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- For example, if a unit has Preempt Pulse and Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- 【Potent Follow 100%】 allows the user to perform an additional follow-up attack immediately after the standard follow-up attack (or in the place of the standard follow-up if the unit cannot perform one).
- Effects that prevent follow-up attacks such as Weaving Fighter or Foe Cannot Follow-Up will not prevent the additional follow-up attack granted by 【Potent Follow 100%】.
- "Unit attacks twice" effects such as Brave Sword+ or Triangle Attack will not double the additional follow-up attack granted by 【Potent Follow 100%】.
- A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will not neutralize the additional follow-up attack granted by 【Potent Follow 100%】.
- The damage calculating effect of 【Potent Follow 100%】 is calculated based on the unit's normal attack damage before being reduced by the foe's damage-reduction effects.
- Damage calculating effects stack additively, similar to flat damage-reduction effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
